Top tips for budget friendly vaping!

Aside from the fact people switch to vaping from smoking for health reasons, people also make the change because they want to save money. Although vaping may seem a bit more expensive in the beginning when buying your set-ups, the cost will soon balance out over a couple of weeks and you will immediately notice the difference.
We all love a good bargain, so here are some top penny-pinching tips for all you thrifty vapers out there!
Choose a simpler device.
While a bigger, more advanced device may look a bit cooler, they aren’t 100% necessary. If you are looking to save a few extra pounds, stick to something simple with a refillable tank and replaceable coils.
Buy in bulk.
Once you have been vaping for a while you will know how much liquid you use, how many coils you use and which flavours you like the best. You can then buy liquids that are available in multi-deals once a month, and you won’t be spending on extra shipping fees. You will also save money buying multipacks of coils.
Keep your eyes peeled for sales and offers.
Here at Blackstone, we love treating you to lots of different offers and we always have reduced items. We also have a flavour of the month that offers 20% a different flavour each month! We also like to do regular competitions where you can win lots of our amazing products.
Use shortfill liquids over 10ml’s.
Due to TPD regulations, if a liquid contains nicotine, it cannot be sold in a bottle bigger than 10ml. Shortfills are nicotine free, so they can be put into bigger bottles (usually 50ml and 100ml). The average 50ml bottle, mixed with a 10ml nic shot, will give you 6 times as much e-liquid for a cheaper price than 6 x 10ml bottles.
Make sure your nicotine strength is correct.
If your strength is too low, you will need to vape more to feel the benefits, thus using more liquid.
Try Salt Nicotine.
Nic Salts get into your bloodstream much quicker than standard freebase nicotine and stays in there longer, so your cravings are satisfied for much longer therefore you don’t need to vape as much.
Look after your coils.
The more you look after your coils, the less regularly you will need to replace them. This means vaping liquids with the correct VG:PG ratio, making sure you prime your coil first, keeping your tank filled up so it doesn’t dry out and using the correct wattage.
Vape MTL (see our previous blog MTL vs. DTL if you are unsure what this means).
Vaping mouth-to-lung can work out cheaper for you as it requires a cheaper device than DTL. Also, DTL vaping requires lower resistance coils which tend to burn out much quicker. While an MTL coil can last a couple of weeks, DTL tends to only last a couple of days. Your e-liquid will also last much longer as it produces less vapour.
